The blur between, it’s home. The cracks between, the spaces where the humans are living. They are crying and trying but somehow, they do not see.
Dear, I need you to look at me. I need to embrace your eyes. Take in my face. Please, dear God… Just listen to me. They are talking and crying, but they are not listening. They are not caring.
Can you hear the sound of my breaths between screams? Do you hear my scribbled poetry between tears? Because I am writing poetry for you. I am writing stories for you. I am carving tragedies into the floor boards for you. Sitting in the shadows with my shoulders slouched, my hair is a mess, my hands are shaking, and my eyes are dry from nights without sleep. I fear the darkness, no more. No more. I fear nothing. I only fear what is inside, because it’s coming out. It’s coming it. It’s filling up. It’s tipping over.
The humans above are crying. Their tears are bringing overcast. The clouds are dark and it’s raining now. Raining human tears. Mothers and Fathers. Sisters and Brothers.
Their tears, I do not catch them on my tongue. There is a rainbow, I must go to it now.
